Maricopa Wants Your Input on Sign Code Revisions.
Maricopa, Ariz. (April 1, 2009 – Signs are important parts of the community, directing people to where they need to be and creating awareness of businesses and community centers. Their size, placement, and other features are regulated by the City Sign Code. These regulations affect everyone in some manner – whether it is the business putting up a store sign, a homebuilder advertising a new community, or a local church directing parishioners to services. To ensure this Code remains relevant, consistent, clear, and reasonable, the City of Maricopa Planning Division is in the process of updating it and needs your help. The Planning Division will be meeting with various groups for input over the next 60 days, with an open public forum scheduled for April 29. For more information on meeting locations and times, contact the Planning Division at 520.316.6986. You may also review proposed code revisions online, and email your comments to economicdevelopment@maricopa-az.gov
