Maricopan’s Rock!
Let me take this opportunity to reaffirm how great our growing City is. In the midst of all our growing pains like, traffic congestion, unexpected closures of businesses, overflowing schools, some great things have happened! Let me tell you of two specific instances that have happened over the last few weeks.
First, as you know your Chamber of Commerce has secured a new location. The outpouring of support has been unprecedented. From the people helping us move, giving up their Saturday to paint to the donations of everything from pens, window coverings, conference room furniture, and computer kiosk business center to a full scale audio visual center! It has been overwhelming to me the faith this Community has in us. Feel free to stop by and visit and even pick up a map.
Second, one of our local entrepreneurs has had some medical difficulties and our local community has stepped up and offered to aid this business in any way it can. From the Chamber, Maricopa Women in business and even local church service groups. We have all offered to volunteer in the store, make deliveries or whatever is needed. Isn’t that what a Community is for? Believe it or not you can make a difference!
These are two prime examples of why my family and I moved from Los Angeles to Maricopa and I am sure we are not alone.
Maricopa has great potential and we are laying the ground work for future residents by “leading by example.” It is simple really all we need to do is reach out to our neighbors, get involved, get out of your house even if that only means going to a High School football game or hanging out at the park to support adult Softball or Youth sports and of course shopping locally.
Bottom line…the ‘Copa Rocks!
